RTProjects invites you to join them in an Art-A-thon challenge

For the last 16 years RTProjects have been helping improve the mental health and wellbeing of people going through some of their darkest moments. They provide a beacon of light in that darkness, but they need our help to do it.

This year’s June-A-thon features a plethora of positively phenomenal pursuits; featuring a 5-a-side football tournament, the three peaks challenge, a Swim-A-thon, a Poem-A-thon, and anything else that you can possibly think of.

On 23rd June one of RTProjects’ supporters will be starting a 24 Art-A-thon at the Open Art Surgery in Gilesgate, Durham. The aim for Adam Jenkins will be to produce 24 pieces of art over 24 hours, and RTProjects is throwing the invitation out for anyone else that wants to join him. The art will be displayed in an online gallery and available to purchase, with every penny going to RTProjects.

“RTProjects is an amazing charity run by amazing people, and I’m really looking forward to the Art-A-thon. I would be delighted with having company over the 24 hours, and overjoyed if we could raise a substantial amount for this phenomenal charity,” Adam Jenkins.

If you can’t make it to the Open Art Surgery, you can join in at home instead, and if that weekend is not convenient, why not carry out your own Art-A-thon over a different day? You don’t even have to stay up for 24 hours; why not create a piece of art in 24 minutes? Or a painting made up of only 24 brushstrokes? The possibilities are almost endless.

You can find out more about the Art-A-Thon by following RTProjects on Facebook (where you’ll be able to track Adam’s progress over the 24 hours) or by going to: localgiving.org/charity/rtprojects/project/Art-a-thon/
