New College Durham Celebrates Outstanding Student Achievements in 2025 Results

Students Unveil Their Triumphs in T-Levels, A-Levels, and Level 3 Qualifications at New College Durham! New College Durham (NCD) is absolutely delighted to celebrate the incredible achievements of their T-Level, A-Level, and BTEC Level 3 students as they receive their results today.

Introduced in 2020/21, T Levels are not just qualifications; they're exciting new routes created... in collaboration with employers to meet the ever-changing needs of industry. These programmes empower students to step confidently into the workforce or pursue further training and study. T Levels are two-year courses designed for ambitious 16 to 18-year-olds ready to take their education to the next level after their GCSEs.

 

New College Durham proudly stands at the forefront of innovation with the T-Level qualification that began in 2020/21, with an ever-growing number of students excelling in their studies this year. With it's improving grades defying a national trend this year its T-Level students have achieved a fantastic 100% pass rate in seven subjects, with an impressive 72% earning top-tier grades, Paving the way for some bright futures!

 

The accolades continue to roll in; T-Level Digital programmes have also thrived, with 100% of students in Digital Production Design Development achieving a grade of merit or distinction, opening doors to exciting apprenticeships. Many health- related T-Level students have chosen to study Occupational Therapy, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, Adult Nursing, and Podiatry at New College Durham's bespoke University Centre.

 

The T-level Early Years Educator continues to maintain the highest standards with 100% of students achieving a grade of merit or distinction for the third consecutive year.

 

Alison Maynard, Deputy Principal at New College Durham, expressed immense pride in the students' achievements, stating: "Today we celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our students across a wide range of courses and work placements. The unwavering hard work and determination displayed by each student have been rightfully recognised and rewarded; they should all take immense pride in their successes!”

 

New College Durham is equally thrilled with the outstanding achievements of their A-Level students, whose remarkable success showcases their hard work and dedication. An amazing 98% of A-Level students passed their qualifications, with 32% achieving high grades! Students enjoyed a perfect 100% pass rate in 16 out of 18 of the subjects offered.

 

Alison added; “On behalf of the senior leadership team I’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff whose commitment has been crucial in this success. I’m sure that anyone involved in education would agree that seeing these victories and the joy they bring fills our entire educational community with unparalleled pride!"
