  Thorpe Farm Centre is holding a spooky Halloween Fun Run in October, and raising funds for Butterwick Hospice. Families and runners are invited to sign up for the fun run on Sunday 19th October, with a choice of a 5K or 2K route, with the shorter route designed for children.

  After-school activity sessions for young people in a County Durham village are set to continue thanks to new funding from a regional employer. Tudhoe Community Centre is using a £2,000 grant from the Banks Group to cover the cost of the twice-weekly activity groups that it runs on Monday and Tuesday afternoons for children aged between six and 12 years old.
