Status Quo return to Stockton Globe 48 years after last performance

Stockton Globe are delighted to welcome Britain’s best-loved rockers Status Quo,

who are returning to Teesside’s newest live music venue, a staggering 48 years

since their last visit to the art-deco inspired theatre. They were the last band to play

at the historic Stockton globe before it shut down as a live entertainment venue in

1975.

Now they are on their way back with a gig sure to delight Teesside rock music fans.

Well-known for their live performances across their incredible fifty year career and

with their brand-new tour, ‘Out Out Quoing’ UK & Spring Tour, Status Quo are back

to reclaim their position on the live circuit.

After such a long period without performing the band is more ready than ever,

making the ‘Out Out Quoing’ tour unmissable. Speaking on their return to the

Stockton stage, the band said: “W

ell, it’s always nice to be asked back! Shame it

took so long. Whilst no one show is more important than another it will be nice to

return and the fact that we were the last to perform there will make the return

poignant.”

“Quo have always been welcomed to the North East, and we look forward to

returning. These building are assets to their communities, but only if they are being

used. We look forward to seeing the great and the good of Stockton once more. Just

don’t close it immediately after our show this time!”
